Maryam B Lustberg MD MPH
Associate Professor, Department of Internal Medicine, Section of Medical Oncology, Clinician Educator Scholar Track
Since joining Yale School of Medicine as an Associate Professor in July 2021, I have served as the Director of the Center for Breast Cancer, Division Chief of Breast Medical Oncology, and Breast DART/CRT leader. I have led efforts to develop a cohesive network of breast specialty care across the state of Connecticut with innovative research with global impact. To achieve these goals, I have focused on strengthening team structures regionally and partnered with my national and international collaborators in breast cancer, symptom science and supportive care. I am an internationally recognized leader in the study of symptom management and survivorship. My translational work has led to rationally designed clinical trials for prevention of late effects of cancer treatments. I am the Co-Chair of Symptom Intervention for Alliance Clinical Trials, one of the NCI cooperative groups. I also serve as the President of Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC), an international organization devoted to improving cancer supportive care throughout the globe.
